Description

Clindamycin is a semisynthetic antibiotic produced by a 7(S)-chloro-substitution of the 7(R)-hydroxyl group of the parent compound lincomycin.

The chemical name of clindamycin phosphate is (2S-trans)-Methyl 7-chloro-6,7,8-trideoxy-6-(1-methyl-trans-4-propyl-L-2-pyrrolidinecarboxamido)-1-thio-L-threo-α-D-galacto-octopyranoside 2-(dihydrogen phosphate).

Appearance:

The appearance of Clindamycin phosphate may range from a clear colorless to a clear light yellow solution.

Strength:

0.6g in 4mL (calculated by clindamycin)

Indications:

Clindamycin Phosphate products are indicated in the treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria:

(1) Tonsillitis, suppurative otitis media, sinusitis, etc.

(2) Acute bronchitis acute, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess and bronchiectasis with infection, etc.

(3) Skin and soft tissue infections: furuncle carbuncle, abscess, cellulitis, trauma and infection after surgery.

(4) Urinary tract infection, acute urethritis, acute pyelonephritis, prostatitis, etc.

(5) Other: osteomyelitis, sepsis, peritonitis and oral infection, etc.

Clindamycin Phosphate is indicated in the treatment of serious infections caused by anaerobes:

(1) Lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess.

(2) Skin, skin structure infections and Septicemia.

(3) Intra-abdominal infections including peritonitis and intra-abdominal abscess.

(4) Gynecological infections including endometritis, nongonococcal tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic cellulitis, and postsurgical vaginal cuff infection.
